   Nesodden proposes local regulation continuing monthly counts and quarterly grants for private kindergartens

   • Private kindergartens and family kindergartens in Nesodden must report to the municipality by the 15th each month. They give the number of children, their ages and how long the children attend. Children with a place until the end of the kindergarten year get an end date of 31 July.
   • The municipality pays grants in advance, once a quarter. The amount is based on the last three months' reports. For Q1, for example, it uses the reports from 15 October, 15 November and 15 December of the year before.

   Overnight water main excavation on Kongleveien, night to Tuesday 27 October

   • The municipality is digging at a water pipe on Kongleveien, between Tangenten and Nesoddtangen school. Work starts Monday 26 October at 9 pm and should be done before Tuesday morning.
   • Cars can drive past during the work. Pedestrians should not be blocked either, says operations operator Aamund Salveson.

   Nesodden municipality wins the audience award at NOKIOS for digitalising municipal services

   • Nesodden municipality won the audience award at the NOKIOS conference in Trondheim. It was also one of three finalists for the Fyrlykt Prize. The Brønnøysund Register Centre won that prize.
   • The municipality has mapped its work processes more than 90 times. This shows where new solutions help most.

   Nesodden municipal director proposes 2027 budget with NOK 62.5m surplus, but debt rises toward 2030

   • On 22 October the municipal director presented a proposed budget and economic plan for 2027–2030 to the council. The executive committee discusses it on 25 November, and the council decides on 9 December.
   • The municipality expects an operating surplus of NOK 62.5m in 2027, or 2.9% of income. That is above its 2.3% target, and the result is positive every year of the plan.

   Nesodden municipality has taken over the renovated Building A at Nesoddtunet nursing home

   • On 20 October Nesodden municipality took over the upgraded rooms in Building A at Nesoddtunet nursing home. The contractor, Betonmast, handed them over.
   • Work began in August 2024. The nursing home stayed open the whole time, which took careful planning, says project manager Kjersti Gravem Dahl.

   Construction of Tangenhallen and the new Nesoddtangen school is on schedule

   • Mayor Cathrine Kjenner Forsland visited the building site of the new Nesoddtangen school and Tangenhallen. She says the work is on plan. From mid-October the hall will be put up with floor and wall elements.
   • Building started before the summer holiday. Since then the old gym building has been torn down and the site prepared. The groundwork for the hall and the new school building is mostly done.

   • Nesodden municipality has a new 'health pilot', Monica Selven. She helps residents of all ages for free. She supports people who feel lonely or isolated to find activities and services.
   • The main tool is Friskus, the municipality's activity calendar. The municipality, volunteer groups, clubs and teams add activities. You can sort by target group, day and time.

    Apply for a market stall at the Tangen torg Christmas market on 28 November 2026

    • There will be a Christmas market at Tangen torg in Nesodden on Saturday 28 November 2026. It is held when the Christmas tree is lit. Stalls are open from 12:00 to 16:00.
    • You can apply for a stall if you make crafts, decorations, knitwear or baked goods. Clubs, associations, schools and organisations can also apply. There are only a limited number of places.
