Record number of electric construction machines get Enova support in 2026, but their share of the fleet remains small

Enova's first status report: passenger cars and households on track, heavy transport and industry lagging
- Over 95 percent of newly registered passenger cars in 2025 were electric; emissions from passenger cars fell by nearly one quarter between 2017 and 2024.
- Heavy trucks and long-distance buses account for 30 percent of road traffic emissions, but Enova assesses that 100 percent zero-emission new heavy vehicles by 2030 will be difficult to achieve – despite record applications for support in May and June 2026.
